Helping Businesses Blossom

Wine Farm

Agric Fair

Humble Beginnings

Businesses need information to succeed. At inception, we needed to develop a business strategy based on facts. The facts were difficult to find as there was very little information available in the agriculture sector at the time. Our agriculture fair was an attempt to fill the gap. The fair was hugely successful with over 2000 visitors and 50 exhibitors. This became the beginning of our success.

Access to Information

Turning a New Page

November 12, 2013 our online Information portal was launched to provide information to stakeholders in the sector. This was a huge task as finding  relevant information was very difficult. We partnered with a number of research institutions who graciously supplied some of the information. Six years later, the award winning site receives an average of 12k visitors a month and new information is added regularly.

Food Safety Management Systems

Starting the Conversation

SENCE Agric is concerned with the safety of the foods we consume and on 25th of April 2014 we organised our first seminar on Food Safety Management Systems in partnership with COLEACP and AFGEAN. This served as the beginning of our involvement with Food Safety and Sustainability issues. Since then we have helped our clients, either through audit or process improvement conform to safety standards.

Harvest Work

Safety Standards Expert

A Story of Success

This was one more step towards improving our clients' businesses. We were invited to participate in a Training of Trainers organised by COLEACP to develop skilled trainers in the area of Food Safety Management.  The intent is to help exporting farmers achieve certification status  and gain access to European markets. Our staff was among the first set of people to be trained in Nigeria.

Standard Operating Procedures.

Safety First

Often times our clients have everything they need to succeed, they just require the resources and support to propel them to the next level. This client, a food processing company,  needed to develop safety procedures for its production. We started by conducting a safety standards audit and based on our findings we developed a standard operating process document.

Seed Export

Phytosanitary  Certificate

Clients often approach SENCE Agric with a general idea of what they need, and this project was no different. We were able to jump right in with our expertise to help this company acquire local Nigerian vegetable seeds for cultivation in America. This included going through the quarantine processes and acquiring a certificate of clearance.Today, their business is doing exceptionally well, and we’re proud to have been part of the process.

Barley Fields

Land Evaluation and Soil Survey

A Story of Success

We approached this project carefully, as it was our very first undertaking of this scale. We provided soil survey and land evaluation services for a 73 Hectare farm project in Kwale, Delta State. We further helped the company set-up its farming operations. We loved working with this client, and look forward to collaborating together on many more successful projects in the future.

Our goal is to get schools to develop school gardens with which to feed its students and in the process teach the students self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship. Our first green club was launched at the Eva Adelaja school, Lagos.
